Compassion Linen Closet Service Project

Service Project! This year we are partnering with the Jones County Department of Family and Child Services to create a resource for the many foster families in our county. Elam will house the Compassion Linen Closet which will be stocked with sheets (crib/toddler, twin, and queen size), blankets/comforters, washcloths, and towels for families with foster children.

This will be an ongoing mission of Elam Baptist Church, so we will take donations year around for any of the following items:

Towels (infant/regular) Crib Sheets/Twin Sheets/Queen Sheets/Blankets/Washcloths. Donations can be dropped off at any service time or during weekly office hours. Feel free to make arrangements with us for other times if you need it! Elam Baptist Church will be taking donations indefinitely and this will be a church ministry!

Favored Women’s Conference

Gatllinburg, TN

We are very excited to be going to the Favored Women's Conference in Gatlinburg Tennessee again this year. We have reserved 12 spots and would love to have to add more. This conference is for any ladies 18 years or older. We do have 4 ladies to a room to keep the cost at $275, which covers the cost of the room and the conference. 

This year we will have the privilege of 3 concerts: Big Daddy Weave, Leanne Crawford, and Matthew West, plus 4 sessions. You can see the schedule for the weekend here Favored Women Schedule.

If you are interested in going with us, there is a $50 deposit due by July 6th and the remainder due by August 31st. Total Cost is $275. Please reach out to Megan Bray to confirm your spot.

God created you and knows every detail about you—right down to the design of your fingerprints and the number of hairs on your head. God cares about everything that happens to you.

Friday update: Decorating by Elam Church: Due to being ahead of schedule on decorating, we are canceling the decorating party this evening. Please be in prayer for VBS starting on Sunday that the Lord will work in the hearts of each child that comes through our doors.

Due to low interest in the event, the Ladies Planning Team has decided to postpone this event until September.

Come join us with your mom, daughters, grandmother, sisters, or just friends for a relaxing afternoon at our Ladies Tea on May 10th from 1-3pm.
